Core principle
Build connection and a safe scenario before asking for behaviour. Punishing a return, harsh corrections, and inconsistent cues damage the control channel a sighthound needs most.
Recall and safety
Recall progresses from home to a long line, a fenced area, and gradually stronger distractions. Near roads and wildlife, a lead remains normal risk management rather than evidence of failed training.
Dogs, cats, and children
Socialisation does not erase individual differences or prey drive. Introductions stay controlled, and small animals or children are not left unsupervised merely because earlier meetings were calm.
