City life is possible, but movement and recovery are essential

The Tazy is not grooming-intensive, but needs room to move, paw protection, managed exercise, and proper recovery.

DailyMovement

Walks combine calm exploration, training, and safe running.

After exerciseRecovery

Water, paw checks, gradual cooling, and sleep belong in the programme.

SeasonallyCoat

Undercoat and feathering change; brushing helps prevent matting.

01

Age-appropriate exercise

Puppies do not receive adult distances or repetitive high-impact exercise. Growth, coordination, and the musculoskeletal system mature gradually; activity is adjusted with veterinary guidance.

02

Paws, muscles, and climate

After field work and long routes, inspect pads, interdigital spaces, nails, and soft tissue. Exercise moves to cooler hours in heat; cold planning considers wind, moisture, movement, and individual undercoat.

03

Home and recovery

An active sighthound sleeps and recovers best with a predictable routine. Non-slip floors, a warm resting place, and freedom from constant arousal matter as much as exercise.

  • Weight and body condition
  • Paws, nails, and interdigital feathering
  • Ears, eyes, and mouth
  • Movement symmetry and willingness to move
  • Sleep quality and recovery speed
