What FCI provisional recognition means for the Kazakh Tazy
The breed's current status, available international titles, and the boundary between breed recognition, member organisations, and dog registries.
What the FCI record confirms
The FCI nomenclature lists the Kazakh Tazy as breed number 372. It names Kazakhstan as the country of origin, Kazakh Tazy as the breed name, and 3 September 2024 as the date of provisional recognition. The breed is placed in Group 10, Section 1.
This record establishes the breed's international status and links the current standard. It is not a list of every dog, breeder, or litter, and it does not make TAZY.DOG an official FCI registry.
How provisional status differs from full recognition
Provisionally accepted breeds operate under a specific FCI regime. The FCI page states the CACIB limitation and describes separate eligibility rules for World Winner and Section Winner titles.
Full recognition follows a separate procedure. It requires time and supporting evidence about the population, generations, health, behaviour, births, and participation in events. Full FCI membership of Kazakhstan's canine organisation does not replace that breed procedure.
How to check a new claim
For breed status, start with the FCI breed record and the provisional-breeds list. A result for an individual dog requires an organiser's record, a traceable identifier, and a separate result entry.
TAZY.DOG publishes sources and explanations. It does not award titles or replace decisions made by the FCI or the national canine organisation.
