Provisional FCI recognition: what it enables and what it does not change
The status opens FCI international shows and national CAC awards, but it does not replace definitive recognition.
Shows: what is available
Provisionally recognised breeds may enter FCI international shows and receive national CAC awards. International CACIB awards require definitive recognition.
Definitive recognition is a separate procedure
An application requires at least ten years and five generations, with evidence on population, health, behaviour and shows. The FCI General Assembly decides; elapsed time does not automatically change recognition.
