Three points in the Tazy recognition story: 2023–2026
First, the status of Kazakhstan’s cynological organisation; then provisional breed recognition and the current FCI record.
2023: FCI admits Kazakhstan’s organisation
At the General Assembly on 21–22 August, the Union of Cynologists of Kazakhstan became a full FCI member. This decision concerned the organisation.
2024: FCI provisionally recognises the breed
On 3 September, the FCI provisionally recognised Kazakh Tazy as breed No. 372, with Kazakhstan as its country of origin.
September 2026: the record still has the same status
As of 27 September, the FCI breed record still lists provisional recognition.
